Daring Dozen sacrificed their lives, money, time & almost everything when they decided to found the place. And it took only 1 greedy imbecile to tear down 5 years of labour, hardwork and dedication of the wonderful lecturers. You, Goddamn Greedy Git, should start praying and ask for God’s mercy as we students won’t let you get away from this as easy you wish to. We are not blatant idiots, like you are.

Opinion.

Sometimes you would find yourself stuck in the batch Gmail, reading illogical and, most of the time, amusing replies from a number of anonymous people. Today a thread in the batch Gmail received up to 20 replies to the topic of Academic Matters.

Students. It’s in their nature that if they’re given something good, at least a small percentage of them will end up taking advantage of it.

2nd Year MBBS batch. They can still sit for Professional Exam I if they fail up to 3-4 subjects.Compare that to the 2nd Year MBBS batch of last year. They wouldn’t get to sit for Pro Exam unless they pass every single block of 1st and 2nd year. What happened in the end was a couple of people had to repeat 2nd year and their batch’s Pro Exam result was superb. Needless to say that the lecturers already realized the side effect of the changed-policy and decided to revert back to the old policy. The current 1st Year MBBS batch will have to pass every single block of 1st and 2nd year in order to be eligible to sit for Pro Exam I.

About viva. The intention of the person who first suggested it is good. He wanted to help the students, especially the weak ones, to pass their exams. However, it is somehow a good thing that it was rejected by the academic board. Students will use it as a reason not to prepare for finals as they know they can sit for viva to pass the block afterwards. More reason to be lazy.

Now the Student Council is trying to come up with a solution to help the weak students. Yet some narrow-minded students can’t think deeply enough to see it as a good intention. Fine, ignore those stupid ignorant weak students who aren’t willing to be helped, let’s focus on those who’re actually yelping out for help here.

Why chose medicine at the first place if you’re lazy to study well? As much as certain party would argue that studying alone won’t make you a great doctor, would you let your mother be treated by a barely-pass doctor who lacks knowledge?

Then there’s this group of unbelievably-idiotic people. Why can’t they appreciate what the lecturers are doing for us? They’re willing to help us whenever we need them to, no matter how weak we are or how slow we are in understanding the knowledge. Sadly some people are just too pathetically-arrogant to let themselves be helped.

God bless you.

We’re still in the pre-clinical phase. Learn to appreciate the lecturers. Wait till we get to the clinical years. The clinicians will eat you alive with that kind of attitude.
